Last week, a small plane narrowly missed power lines and crashed on a sidewalk near homes in El Cajon. The plane was attempting to land at Gillespie Field after reports of a possible fuel leak. The pilot was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Luckily, no one on the ground was injured. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
