For nearly 40 years, Jim has dedicated his career to representing injured people and their families in Ohio. Over the decades, the landscape of personal injury law has changed dramatically. Insurance companies, once more flexible, became increasingly rigid – forcing many cases into lengthy litigation. During that time, many attorneys shied away from the courtroom. Jim never did.

He built his reputation as a trial attorney who will not accept lowball offers or back down when his clients deserve more. Taking cases to trial, standing up to insurance companies, and fighting for fair outcomes is what has always set Jim apart. That commitment continues to define the work he does today: putting clients first and making sure they get the justice they deserve.

Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area, Jim practiced law across nearly 20 counties in Northeast Ohio for close to 30 years. In 2014, he relocated to San Diego to be closer to his youngest daughter, who is also an attorney. While Jim is licensed to practice law only in Ohio, and not in California, he has spent the past 10+ years assisting San Diego law firms with the preparation and strategy of personal injury cases, including matters headed for mediation, arbitration, or trial. His knowledge and trial-tested background have strengthened countless cases and helped achieve meaningful results for clients.

Outside of work, Jim’s greatest joy is family. He and his wife Chris have four children and eight grandchildren spread across the country, with two granddaughters close by in San Diego. They love traveling to visit family, but when they can’t, they make sure to connect through FaceTime. Jim and Chris enjoy relaxing at home with their Old English Sheepdog, Nevada, and taking her for walks along Shelter Island.
